Luis is a lusophone artist of French origin, filmmaker and creative drum musician, works mostly the time with music improvisation and sound composition for media and contemporary dance. Where his exploring ideas such like; unpredictability, intuition, chance and spontaneity. As well, on the world music field, where he study and play`s traditional music from Portugal and the world.
He is graduated on Psychology, Art Therapy and on Documentary Film. In 2016, he was awarded for Best Editting Film at Figueira Film Art Festival, Portugal, with his doc. “In the Moment”, in 2015, he receives a Honor Mention at the Videodanza International Contest "Videomovimiento 2015", in Bogotá, Colômbia. With is dance film “REBIRDS”. A public award at the 1st videodance exhibition “Body In Focus”, Porto. Portugal. With his video dance "A`Mar". In 2013, awarded for Best Portuguese Director in the 5th edition of the InShadow - International Video Festival, Performance and Technologies, Portugal. In 2013, he awarded with the 2nd prize, on the category for best 2013 musical documentary, by the MUSICLIP - International Festival of Music, Audiovisual Arts and Music Video of Barcelona, with his film, “48Hz Sound Interferences”, that as also been in official selection at the 9th Jecheon International Music & Film Festival in South Korea.
With more than 25 years of music experience, he began is musical journey in his adolescence with friends, creating a music band that played Trash Metal, Hard Core and Hip Hop music, called "Rothen Minds". After 2000, he began to collaborate with music projects such; Lupanar, Bicho de 7 Cabeças, João Pires Flamengo Quartet, Collective Desdobrável, DOOLE(Experimental Music Company), Velha Gaiteira, DedoMindinho, Pelê & Fole, Trabucos, Uxukalhos, Traditional Percussion Orchestra - Gigabombos, Cantos do Mar, Lisbon SoundPainting Orchestra, the Bangladesh Musician KM Anwar Mostafá and the VisualMusic Project - CACO. He is actively into the improvised music scene and mostly the time he produces music, specially for dance and performance, where we highlight the work with the "Inestética Theater Company", "Panda Pá Clown Project", "Amalgam Dance Company", the storytelling project "POKA POKANI" de Margarida Botelho, COMPOTA, an interdisciplinary art performative project lead by the choreographer Paula Pinto, the Performance "Preta" from Giovannin Lourenço,
the "White Noise" dance project by Clara Marchana, the solo project INSIDE by Maria Fonseca, produced by Uterus Association
In 2018 started a Sound Art project "Lisboa Sonora" and he is a active member of the Glocalmusic Coop., where he was the author of the Sound Art Festival AURAL, and he is currently producing a documentary film about Art and Social Inclusion.
